NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting       Entry Level   This is a beginning level course The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. This is the instructor-led course in which you will receive direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end.   This course meets the training requirements per Florida Statute 790 to apply for a Florida Concealed Weapon License.      NRA Personal Protection in the Home  Intermediate Level This is an eight-hour course. Students should expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development.  This course meets the training requirements per Florida Statute 790 to apply for a Florida Concealed Weapon License.         NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home                                 Advanced Level  The course is divided into two levels. Level one is nine-hours and offers the essential knowledge and skills that must be mastered in order to carry, store, and use a firearm safely and effectively for personal protection outside the home. Students spend several hours on the range and shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition during level one. Upon completion, students may choose to attend level two, which is an additional five hours on the range and approximately 115 rounds of ammunition learning advanced shooting skills. Time and ammunition requirements are minimum, and may be exceeded.  This course meets the training requirements per Florida Statute 790 to apply for a Florida Concealed Weapon License.         NRA Refuse to be a Victim         Seminars teach common weaknesses that criminals may take advantage of, and a variety of corrective measures that are practical, inexpensive and easy to follow.   The seminar includes classroom instruction on criminal psychology, automobile crimes; cyber safety, home security, and a variety of crime prevention strategies including carjack avoidance techniques, use of personal safety devices, and more. Students receive the Refuse To Be A Victim® student handbook, NRA Refuse To Be A Victim® brochure, NRA Become A Refuse To Be A Victim® Instructor Brochure, Refuse To Be A Victim® Firearms Supplement, and a course completion certificate.         Accuracy Improvement Drills Level I                                       Entry Level Level I of Handgun Basics Accuracy Improvement Drills conducts a review of the basic fundamentals of shooting to include stance, grip, sight alignment, sight picture, breath control, trigger press, and follow through without live ammunition.  The course then expands on the basic fundamentals by developing the student’s ability to properly draw a handgun from a holster.  This course does not meet the training requirements to apply for a Florida Concealed Weapon License.    USCCA Concealed Carry Course      Entry Level This is a United States Concealed Carry Association course. This course is excellent for anyone who wants to possess a gun for personal protection.    At a minimum this course contains information about: Developing a Personal Protection Plan Self-Defense Firearm Basics Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Violent Encounters and Their Aftermath Holsters and Gear Basic and Advanced Skills  This course meets the training requirements per Florida Statute 790 to apply for a Florida Concealed Weapon License.

Short Description: Teaches students the knowledge, skills and attitude essential for avoiding dangerous confrontations and for the safe, effective and responsible use of a concealed pistol for self-defense outside the home.
