Pistol Target Empty Ammunition Case NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Short Description: The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. The instructor-led course is where you will receive direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end.  The Instructor led course takes place in a traditional classroom and range environment. This course may be completed in a single day format or over several days with smaller blocks of instruction. The course Instructor will contact you shortly thereafter.  More Details: Course topics include: gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety. Additionally, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor. Students will receive the NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and your NRA Certified Instructor. You do not need to own a firearm to take this course.  Required Equipment (Student Provides): •	Comfortable range appropriate clothing •	Pen or Pencil, Paper for notes •	Snacks, Drink (no alcholic beverages) •	May bring lunch or money (typically everyone chips in and we get pizza with a working lunch)  Ammunition  (Instructor Provides): •	Estimated round count is between 60 and 100 rounds Firearms (Instructor Provides) •	Instructor provides use of firearms for this class (.22lr)(familiarization with a minimum of 4 handguns) NOTE:  Students my utilize their own firearm. •	Firearm must be in proper working order and mechanically safe. •	Factory new ammunition only no reloads* in the same caliber as your handgun. *Reloads are not allowed, however, reputable firearm manufactures who produce remanufactured ammunition such as Freedom Munitions will be acceptable.  If you are unsure contact us prior to the class date you will be attending.   Class size is limited to ensure proper instruction to each student.  This course meets the firearm training requirements for a concealed carry license in FL.  This basic pistol training far exceeds what other places offer in both quality and details of the training.  If you want to be your best, you must select the firearm instructor to provide you with the right skills to train to become your best.
